English Premier League team Liverpool has announced a two-year partnership, from 2014-15 to 2015-16, with the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA).
Under the agreement, the BTA becomes an official tourism partner of Liverpool and will promote the Caribbean island as a holiday destination to the club’s global fan base.
To launch the cooperation, the BTA will lay on a “Taste of Barbados” event ahead of Liverpool’s home game against Aston Villa at Anfield on September 13, with fans able to sample Caribbean cuisine and enjoy a steel band performance among other activities.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
