MotoGP World Championship motorcycling team Ducati has agreed a sponsorship deal with Chinese IT and technology company Lenovo.
The multi-year deal will grant Lenovo brand exposure on Ducati’s bikes on race weekends.
For the 2018 season, Lenovo will serve as Ducati’s key technology partner, with the team to use PCs, tablets and servers supplied by the company.
The two parties will also collaborate on product R&D as part of an initiative to further accelerate Ducati’s progress.
Lenovo’s corporate president and chief operating officer, Gianfranco Lanci, said: “MotoGP is growing in global attention and stature and is fast becoming a sport watched by millions across the world. Ducati’s 90-year heritage and focus on innovation, speed and performance aligns very well to our own story as a company and what drives our product development.
“Not only are we thrilled about the brand visibility the partnership will drive, but also the opportunity to have Lenovo products at the heart of driving the teams progress and ambitions.”
The deal begins with this weekend’s Argentine Grand Prix at the Autódromo Termas de Río Hondo.
