Konami seals exclusive Juventus partnership

Italian Serie A football club Juventus has signed an exclusive three-year partnership with Japanese video game developer Konami.

As a result, Konami’s eFootball PES 2020 title will be the only football console game to officially include Juventus.

The eFootball PES series will have exclusive use of Juventus intellectual property, including team name, crest and official kits. Konami’s development team has also been granted in-depth access to players via a full-body 3D scan that will accurately represent the squad in-game.

In addition, Juventus’ Allianz Stadium will be granted full and exclusive access in eFootball PES 2020.

Rival developer EA Sports has confirmed that Juventus will be known as ‘Piemonte Calcio’ on its Fifa 20 game, although the club will still feature its real-world squad.

Konami has recently signed partnerships with Bayern Munich and Manchester United, and extended existing agreements with Arsenal and Barcelona.
