Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer JVC Kenwood has renewed its top-tier sponsorship of the World Touring Car Championship.
JVC Kenwood has partnered the motor racing series since 2009 and the new terms are for two years, covering the 2015 and 2016 seasons. The firm operates as a top-tier series partner alongside DHL and Yokohama.
The company will continue as the event presenting partner of the WTCC races in France and Japan, which run on June 26-28 and September 11-13 respectively.
There will also be a significant JVC Kenwood branding presence at all rounds of the championship through windscreen branding on race cars, while five events will feature “TV corners” – television visible trackside advertising locations for the company.
Additionally, pan-regional broadcaster Eurosport will integrate a JVC Kenwood campaign into its WTCC coverage.
The agreement was announced as Sébastien Loeb and José María Lopéz claimed a victory apiece at the 2015 season-opening Race of Argentina at the weekend.
