The International Ice Hockey Federation has appointed Chinese actor and director Wu Jing as a global ambassador, as it looks to increase the popularity of the sport in China.
The IIHF is aiming to capitalise on momentum behind winter sports in China due to the Beijing Winter Olympics. It has also been publishing content on social media platforms in China to educate the market about the sport.
