Hyundai upgrades with New York Mets

SOUTH KOREAN CAR MAKER Hyundai has extended its partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB) team the New York Mets to include naming rights to a premium seating area at the Citi Field stadium.

As part of the multi-year agreement, the seating area previously named the Champions Club will now be known as the Hyundai Club.

The deal will also see Hyundai showcase one of its vehicles on the field level concourse in front of the hospitality area at each of the 81 regular season games in 2013.

“Citi Field provides a great venue to showcase an award-winning Hyundai line-up that continues to get even stronger,” said Ken Bloech, general manager for Hyundai Motor America’s eastern region.

Other Corporate Partners of the Mets with naming rights for premium hospitality spaces at the Mets' stadium include Delta Air Lines, Caesars Atlantic City, Amtrak, Modell's and Party City.

Hyundai’s partnership with the Mets began in 2012 when the brand purchased outfield advertising space at Citi Field.
