The Mercedes Formula One motor racing team has confirmed a sponsorship deal with German fashion brand Hugo Boss.
Under the agreement, which is effective from January 1, 2015, Hugo Boss becomes the team’s official supplier of lifestyle and formal wear clothing. The length of the deal was not disclosed.
Hugo Boss will create high-performance teamwear for use at Mercedes’ F1 headquarters and its branding will feature on the team’s 2015 car and trackside collateral.
Additionally, Hugo Boss will develop a Boss for Mercedes-Benz Collection that will be available twice a year and feature high-end menswear fashion.
Hugo Boss has partnered with Mercedes’ F1 rival McLaren since 1981. It was initially announced in July that the company would switch its sponsorship to Mercedes.
