The San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU) has been confirmed as the new title sponsor of the Holiday Bowl US college American football game.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that the deal will cover this year’s edition of the game, which will now be known as the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl.
The annual Holiday Bowl features two teams made up of players from the Pac-12 and Big Ten college conferences.
The date and kick-off time of this year’s 40th anniversary edition of the Holiday Bowl are yet to be confirmed.
The US regional financial institution also served as the title sponsor of the Poinsetta Bowl, a sister event of the Holiday Bowl, for 12 years from its inception in 2005. However, the game was discontinued earlier this year.
