Formula E teams up with Saudi Arabian Airlines

The Formula E electric car-racing series has signed a sponsorship deal with Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA).

The national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will become the official airline partner of the series, as well as the title partner of the inaugural Ad Diriyah E-Prix, which takes place on December 15.

The length of the agreement was not disclosed but Formula E said a “long-term partnership” has been signed.

The newly-named SAUDIA Ad Diriyah E-Prix will be the opening leg of the 2018-19 Formula E season. It will mark the debut of fully-electric racing in the Middle East.
