Formula E signs up title sponsor for debut New York ePrix

US wireless technologies specialist Qualcomm has agreed a deal to become the title sponsor of the Formula E electric car-racing series’ inaugural ePrix in New York City.

The new ePrix is a double-header event that will feature rounds nine and 10 of the 2016-17 season. Under the agreement, both rounds will operate under the title of the Qualcomm New York City ePrix.

Qualcomm is a long-term supporter of Formula E, serving as a founding partner of the series.

The first edition of the New York City ePrix will take place on July 15 and 16.
