Video game developer EA Sports has agreed to become the official video game partner of Spanish Liga football club Real Madrid.
The deal is for three years and covers the 2015-16 to 2017-18 seasons.
Under the agreement, EA Sports will feature updated 3D head scans of 14 Real Madrid players in its FIFA 16 game, including Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez.
During Real Madrid games at the club’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium, video screens will occasionally show player celebrations rendered with EA Sports Fifa graphics after goals.
EA Sports boasts an extensive presence across major football leagues in Europe, including the English Premier League, German Bundesliga and Italian Serie A, and the brand extended its partnership with Real Madrid’s Liga counterpart Valencia last year.
