EA Sports has been announced as a sponsor of the Uefa Women’s Champions League in a deal that also grants it the video game licensing rights to the women’s club competition.

The three-year deal with the governing body from 2022-23 to 2024-25 will allow the games developer to launch and promote a new Uefa Women’s Champions League simulation game as a downloadable update to the FIFA 23 franchise in March next year to coincide with the quarter-final stage of the real-life competition.
