Global logistics company DHL has entered into a partnership with the MotoGP World Championship motorcycling series.
The deal will run for three years, from 2015 until 2018.
Under the agreement, DHL will become the official logistics partner of MotoGP and provide its various packing and handling services to teams that compete in the series.
DHL will also benefit from a range of marketing opportunities such as logo usage rights for customer marketing initiatives and trackside advertising at all MotoGP races.
In addition, DHL will gain access to a range of customer hospitality services at MotoGP events.
Pau Serracanta, managing director of the commercial area for Dorna, MotoGP’s commercial rights-holder, said: “DHL will enjoy outstanding visibility at circuits, events and via the many broadcasting platforms the MotoGP World Championship employs, plus they will benefit from being able to organise various activities for guests at MotoGP events. Dorna will benefit from a logistics service that spans the globe, which will allow us to maintain our values of speed and efficiency on which the championship has been built.”
DHL already has partnerships in place with a host of other major motor-racing events and properties such as Formula One and the Formula E electric racing series.
