Delta Air Lines land extensions with AEG, LA Kings

Delta Air Lines has signed a six-year extension to its partnership with sports and entertainment company AEG in a deal that encompasses NHL ice hockey club the Los Angeles Kings.

Under the agreement, which runs until 2022, Delta will remain the official and exclusive charter partner of the AEG-owned Kings. It will also continue to serve as the official and exclusive airline of the Kings and its Staples Center home arena.

As part of the deal, Delta will take on the naming rights to the Delta Suite Level facility inside Staples Center. The airline will be given advertising exposure both inside and outside the stadium during Kings games and will also be promoted through the club’s digital and social media platforms. In addition, a ‘Delta Day’ initiative will be organised at a Kings game once every season.

Ranjan Goswami, Delta’s vice-president of sales in western US, said: “In our relentless pursuit to become the airline of choice for Angelenos, Delta is committed to the entities and organisations that are vital to sustaining the city’s important sports and entertainment industries.”
