Canon has been unveiled as the latest gold partner of the Tokyo 2020 summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The photographic and digital imaging solutions giant, which has joined NTT and Asahi as gold partners of the Games, will have exclusivity in the still cameras and desktop reprographic hardware category.
Canon chairman and chief executive Fujio Mitarai said: “Based on the key concept of 'capturing the most pivotal moments of the Games and sharing these emotions,’ Canon will fully support the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Japanese national teams. We look forward to providing world-class services to professional photographers from around the world who will gather in Japan to capture breathtaking images of the historical performances of the world's top athletes.”
The Worldwide Olympic Partners who are supporting Tokyo 2020 are Coca-Cola, Atos, Bridgestone, Dow, GE, McDonald’s, Omega, Panasonic, Procter and Gamble, Samsung and Visa. The event’s gold partners will support the successful delivery of the Games and will also serve as partners of the Japanese national Olympic and Paralympic teams.
