Tokyo 2020 bribery investigation ‘widens’, Sapporo 2030 officials cancel IOC meeting

Japanese prosecutors have raided the offices of advertising firm Daiko as part of the investigation into alleged bribery within the Tokyo 2020 Olympics organising committee, according to reports.

Kyodo news agency reports the firm’s offices were searched as part of the investigation of Haruyuki Takahashi, a former Tokyo 2020 executive, who was reported to have been arrested last month on suspicion of bribery.
