AFL Australian rules football team Western Bulldogs has announced a sponsorship extension with major partner Mission Foods until the end of the 2017 season.
The flat bread company has been on the Bulldogs’ roster since 2009, when Mission Foods entered the Australian market.
Exact financial terms were not disclosed but the club has confirmed a multi-million dollar agreement for Mission Foods to continue as sole major partner and feature on the front and back of its playing guernsey and off-field apparel.
Chairman of Mission Foods Juan Gonzalez said: “When we first entered the Australian market place in 2009, we searched for a partner in the AFL that shared similar values to us – we found that in the Western Bulldogs. Six years later when it came time to re-evaluate our relationship and the journey we had taken, we found that we still had strong synergies and strategic alignment on all those ideals. The decision was made – it made sense to continue this long standing partnership with a club that has a solid set of values, supports the community with relevant initiatives and has one of the most dynamic teams in the competition.”
Western Bulldogs are currently placed 15th in the 2014 AFL Championship ladder after seven matches.
