German Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund has secured partnerships with Japanese consumer financial services provider Aplus and European safety footwear firm Atlas.
Terms of the Aplus deal were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that the firm will become a regional partner of the club in Japan and will issue official Dortmund credit cards to customers in the country.
Card-holders will be able to purchase replica Dortmund kit, which is currently not available to buy in Japan, as well as benefit from a 10-per-cent discount at the club’s fan shop and have the opportunity to win signed Dortmund memorabilia.
Meanwhile, Dortmund-based ATLAS has signed a one-year agreement that will run for the duration of the 2016-17 season.
The ATLAS deal came into effect ahead of Dortmund’s 1-0 win against defending Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich on Saturday.
