Tottenham Hotspur alters gaming strategy with Marathonbet deal

English Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur has agreed a two-year deal to make online gaming company Marathonbet its official betting partner.

Effective from the 2014-15 season, Marathonbet will take full category exclusivity after Tottenham opted to move away from a regional partner model in the gaming sector.

Marathonbet will have a presence on Tottenham’s digital channels and will also operate the in-stadium betting services at the club’s White Hart Lane stadium on matchdays.

Fran Jones, head of partner services at Tottenham Hotspur, said: “Marathonbet is an ambitious brand growing its business across key markets, including the UK. The global nature of this agreement enables our supporters to access Marathonbet services no matter where they are in the world, as well as on a matchday at White Hart Lane.”

Tottenham finished sixth in the Premier League in the 2013-14 season and will begin the forthcoming campaign under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.
