BNP Paribas aces Indian Wells renewal

BNP PARIBAS has extended its title sponsorship of the BNP Paribas Open, an ATP World Tour and WTA Tour event, for a further five years.

The renewal will see BNP Paribas continue as the lead sponsor of the 2014 to 2018 editions of the Indian Wells, California-based tournament.

The bank, headquartered in Paris, France, originally signed a five-year deal to title sponsor the tournament in 2009.

BNP Paribas is a major sponsor of tennis globally, boasting an extensive portfolio which takes in the French Open at Roland Garros and title sponsorship of the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas and the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas.

On the men’s ATP World Tour, the brand is associated to four ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, two as title sponsor – BNP Paribas Open and the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris – and two as an associate sponsor – Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome and the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters.

Further, on the women’s WTA Tour, BNP Paribas co-title sponsors the season-ending TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships in Istanbul.
