Sunderland agrees strategic partnership with college

English Premier League football club Sunderland has entered into a strategic partnership with local educational institute Sunderland College.

Although terms of the deal were not disclosed, it was confirmed that the college will work with the club on a series of global growth objectives to help secure further partnerships.

Sunderland College will also support the club’s community activities both in the UK and in other countries around the world.

Students at Sunderland College will be able to work with the team on a number of placement schemes, with the college to also support the club’s day-to-day business activity.

Gary Hutchinson, commercial director at Sunderland, said: “We are both committed to sharing our expertise in areas of mutual interest and the partnership will see us working together on a number of commercial and brand development initiatives, which will provide an excellent basis for a long and prosperous partnership.”
