German automotive manufacturer BMW has agreed a deal with the International Basketball Federation (Fiba) and the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) to become a national supporter of the 2014 World Cup.
BMW has partnered FEB over the past year and will now increase its commitment to basketball in Spain at Fiba’s flagship national team tournament, which runs in the European country from August 30 to September 14.
The company also has an established relationship with global basketball events, having served as the official car provider at EuroBasket 2013 in Slovenia and at the 2013 Fiba Under-19 World Championship in Prague.
BMW joins Caixa Bank, airline Iberia, beer brand San Miguel and utilities company Endesa as a national supporter of the 2014 World Cup.
