Canadian telecommunications company Bell has enhanced its commitment to basketball in the country by agreeing a multi-year strategic partnership with the NBA.
As an official partner of the North American league, Bell will serve as the presenting sponsor of the NBA Canada Series beginning with the game between Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics at Montreal’s Bell Centre on October 20.
Bell customers will be able to watch weekly NBA content on their smartphones and tablets throughout the regular season and playoffs, with Bell Mobile TV featuring a new nightly NBA highlights package.
Along with the NBA Canada Series, Bell will also serve as the presenting sponsor of the NBA All-Star Balloting platform in Canada, which gives supporters the opportunity to vote daily for the players they want to star in the NBA All-Star Game 2014 in New Orleans. Two Bell competition-winners will be granted tickets for the game.
Outside of its new deal, Bell is a platinum sponsor to Toronto Raptors – Canada’s only NBA team – on a range of branding, communications and community initiatives.
Additionally, Bell is a premier sponsor of governing body Canada Basketball and the country’s national team.
