Queensland Rugby League has signed Auswide Bank as a new jersey partner in a three-year deal.
The Auswide Bank’s logo will feature on the Maroons jersey for the Holden State of Origin Series against the New South Wales Blues in June and July next year, while also carrying the naming rights to the under 18’s Meninga Cup competition.
Auswide Bank managing director Martin Barrett said the partnership was the most significant announcement for the bank since the 52-year-old institution became a registered bank in 2015.
“The partnership with the Queensland Rugby League enables us as a bank to have a large footprint across the state, with the ability to engage with a thriving Maroon Membership base as well as more than 66,000 participants and 460 community clubs,” he said.
Under the deal, Auswide Bank and Queensland Rugby League plan to roll out a range of initiatives that will enable Rugby League families to be both financially and physically healthy.
Auswide bank joins superannuation company Intrustsuper, XXXX Gold and Australian sports clothing manufacturer, ISC as major sponsors of the QRL.
