Alibaba launches ‘virtual influencer’ to promote Beijing 2022 merchandise

Chinese e-commerce group Alibaba has unveiled a “virtual influencer” for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

Developed by its global research initiative, Alibaba DAMO Academy, the avatar will be used to promote Beijing 2022 merchandise on the group’s Tmall business-to-consumer platform.
