Australian Olympic Committee bags Woolworths deal for Rio 2016

Supermarket chain Woolworths has reached a deal to serve as an official partner of the Australian team at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The agreement will run until the end of 2016 and will feature Woolworths and the Australian Olympic Committee collaborating on a number of promotional activities.

Financial terms for the sponsorship were not disclosed.

Woolworths joins an AOC commercial roster that includes sports hospitality provider CoSport, airline Qantas, swimwear manufacturer Speedo and vitamins company Swisse.
