Online marketplace and hospitality service Airbnb has agreed a deal to support the upcoming European Championships multi-sport event in Glasgow, Scotland.
Airbnb will serve as the official provider of alternative accommodation for Glasgow 2018, which runs from August 2-12.
The city is co-hosting the inaugural European Championships alongside the German capital of Berlin, with the latter to stage athletics events and Glasgow to host aquatics, cycling, golf, gymnastics, rowing and triathlon competitions.
Throughout the Glasgow event, local Airbnb hosts and families across Glasgow will provide accommodation for guests.
Airbnb joins Strathmore, SPAR International, Atos, Gleneagles, Harper Macleod LLP, Avid, NVT, Aggreko, Glasgow Airport, GL events, Field and Lawn Ltd., Arco, Adi.tv, Xerox and CSM Live as Glasgow 2018 sponsors.
Airbnb provided similar services during the Rio 2016 summer Olympics and the Pyeongchang 2018 winter Games.
