Hotel group Accor has reached a two-year agreement to become the official hotel partner of the AFL Australian rules football league.
Under the terms of the deal, the AFL, its clubs and subsidiaries will stay at Accor hotels across Australia and New Zealand when attending league events.
Accor operates more than 200 hotels across Australia, from the five-star Sofitel and Pullman hotels, through to its mid-market Novotel and Mercure brands, and economy Ibis hotels. Accor also operates a number of apartment-style locations and the deal covers 70 of its facilities.
The agreement makes Accor the latest company to become an official partner of the AFL after Gio Business Insurance sealed a three-year partnership in the same category earlier this month.
