Adidas has announced that its chief executive Kasper Rorsted will stand down in 2023, three years ahead of the end of his contract.
No reason was given for the surprise departure, but a statement posted on the sportswear giant’s website said the CEO and the company’s board had “mutually agreed” that he would hand over the reins “during the course of 2023”.
