Global sports marketing agency CSM Sport & Entertainment (CSM), has promoted Zak Brown, currently chief executive of JMI, CSM’s motorsport agency, as the group chief executive officer of CSM as part of a senior management reorganisation.
Outgoing chief executive Jim Glover will take on the new role of deputy chairman with responsibility for global partnerships and client relationships. Edward Leask continues as deputy chairman with responsibility for mergers, acquisitions, alliances and the growth of the business in the North American market.
Commenting on the changes, CSM executive chairman Lord Coe said: “The changes we have made today reflect our ambition and enable us to focus on the areas that are critical to our future growth – our global partnerships and relationships, our acquisitions and alliances strategy in North America and enhancing our strong worldwide network.”
Speaking exclusively to Sports Sponsorship Insider, Brown said: “There is massive opportunity [here] and the growth potential is exciting. We have a world-class talent pool spread throughout category-leading agencies and I want to harness that power to grow the business in every respect: growing our people, growing our clients, winning new ones, and growing our capability and offer.”
Alongside his new position as group chief executive of CSM, Brown also becomes executive chairman of JMI, the motorsport marketing agency that he founded in 1995 and that was acquired by CSM in 2013.
