Marine apparel manufacturer Zhik has entered into a partnership with World Sailing, the sport’s global governing body.
Zhik has agreed a five-year deal to become the official technical clothing partner of the body. The deal, financial terms of which were not disclosed, will run until the end of 2020.
Under the agreement, Zhik will supply staff and race officials with clothing at World Sailing-sanctioned events. World Sailing will also release a range of Zhik-branded clothing later this year.
“We have good history of supporting the leading sailors across multiple areas of our sport, from offshore yacht racing, kiteboarding and dinghy racing,” Simon Payne, global sales director at Zhik, said. “Supporting those that govern and officiate sailing will allow us to further enhance our reputation within the industry.”
