Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg has upgraded its newly-extended global partnership with Chinese tyre brand Linglong Tire.
Under the deal, Linglong Tire will take the Wolfsburg sleeve asset for all Bundesliga and DFB Cup fixtures.
The upgrade comes only a few weeks after Wolfsburg extended its global partnership with Linglong Tire for another three seasons during the club’s pre-season tour of China.
Linglong Tire has been Wolfsburg’s exclusive international tire partner since the 2015-16 season, and last month, the partnership was renewed as a global Club of Champions deal.
In an official statement, Wolfsburg said fans can add the Linglong Tire logo to their club shirts at no extra cost.
Previously, the sleeve asset was held by US shipping brand UPS from 2017-18 to 2019-19.
Hoffenheim secures RIAL
In other Bundesliga news, TSG Hoffenheim has signed a new partnership with local light-alloy rim brand RIAL, which is based in Bad Dürkheim.
The deal gives RIAL access to Hoffenheim club and player IP, and access to players for content production, and integration across the club’s official media and digital channels.
RIAL will also offer its trading partners the chance to win VIP tickets to Hoffenheim matches and behind-the-scenes club experiences.
RIAL is a brand of Superior Industries, an international supplier of aluminum wheels for passenger cars.
Superior has nine production plants located in the US, Mexico, Germany and Poland, and employs more than 8,000 people worldwide.
