Fiji National Rugby League has extended its commercial agreement with telecommunications company Vodafone Fiji for a further three years.
Vodafone Fiji will sponsor all FNRL tournaments and events until 2017 as well as retaining the naming rights to its national team.
The two parties have worked together since 2006, when Vodafone came to the FNRL’s aid as it was considering withdrawing from World Cup qualifiers due to a lack of funds.
In the on-going 2013 Rugby League World Cup, Fiji secured its second consecutive semi-final appearance with a 22-4 win over Samoa in Warrington yesterday.
