English Premier League club Southampton has extended its partnership with energy supplier Utilita.
Under the deal, Utilita, which like Southampton is based in the county of Hampshire, will continue as the club’s Official Energy and Utilities Partner.
Over the course of the partnership, the club will continue to create bespoke digital content with Utilita, utilising their access to the first team.
The agreement will also see Southampton and Utilita continue to work closely together to benefit the club’s fans and the company’s customers and staff and the wider community.
Fans who switch to Utilita will receive exclusive offers, a free smart meter, no standing charge and exclusive access to festival and music tickets through the company’s partnership with entertainment promoter Live Nation.
Jem Maidment, director of marketing and communications at Utilita, said: “Utilita is a national company, but fiercely proud of its Hampshire roots – no other local energy company has helped as many struggling households across the UK in the fight against fuel poverty.
“We installed Britain’s first ever smart meter and now 90 per cent of our customers have one – the highest percentage of any UK supplier.”
