French grain producer RAGT Semences has enhanced and extended its partnership with the Tour de France by agreeing to become the new title sponsor of the cycling race’s team classification.
RAGT’s existing deal with Tour organiser Amaury Sport Organisation had granted it exposure during stages at the ‘grand tour,’ along with other ASO-backed races in the shape of Paris-Nice, the Critérium du Dauphiné, La Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
Terms of the company’s new agreement were not disclosed, but along with maintaining its existing backing RAGT’s brand will be displayed on the jersey of the Tour’s team classification winner, which last year was claimed by Danish outfit Team Saxo-Tinkoff.
RAGT-branded vehicles will also be present as the Tour de France conducts its three-week journey.
RAGT Semences has a strong association with cycling and backed a French professional team which competed between 2000 and 2005.
