Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer has agreed a partnership with the Chinese Super League, the top division of club football in the country.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Tag Heuer will become the official timekeeper and official watch for the CSL.
The agreement further bolsters the company’s football portfolio. In 2014, Real Madrid and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo became the new Tag Heuer brand ambassador, while the watchmaker began a partnership with the German Bundesliga last year. Earlier this year, Tag Heuer signed on as the official watch and timekeeper of Major League Soccer and the U.S. Soccer Federation.
The 2016 CSL season commences on Friday with Guangzhou R&F taking on Hebei China Fortune.
