The Swedish ice hockey league has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Svenska Spel, the state-owned gambling company in the country.
The deal will run for six years, from 2015-16 to 2020-21.
Under the deal, the second-tier Hockeyallsvenskan will be sponsored by Svenska Spel. The deal is worth at least SEK48m (€5.1m/$5.8m) over the course of the contract.
Stephan Guiance, the chief executive of Hockeyallsvenskan, said: “Svenska Spel choosing to be the main sponsor of Hockeyallsvenskan for the next six years is a crucial piece of the puzzle in our efforts to develop the league.
“Together with Svenska Spel, we will, among other things, develop new statistics features that create an enhanced viewing experience for all of us who follow Swedish ice hockey.”
