Consumer electronics company Toshiba has agreed a deal to become a founding partner of Los Angeles-based Staples Center, the home of a number of US professional sports teams.
Under the multi-year deal, the terms of which were undisclosed, Toshiba will become the venue’s official electronics provider.

In addition, the partnership will also enable the Staples Center to launch an interactive destination for fans to engage in social media activities relating to upcoming sports events. Powered by Toshiba, LA Interactive will be located in the main concourse and will feature Twitter feeds, updates and battles, ‘hashtag’ polls, player stats, game scores and video highlights.
