UK-based Sporting goods retailer Sports Direct is poised to become the new primary sponsor of Cork GAA, which owns the Irish county’s Gaelic football and hurling teams.
According to The Sunday Times newspaper, the five-year deal is worth around €2m ($2.45m) over the term, including performance bonuses worth €200,000 for an All-Ireland win in either sport.
