NHL ice hockey franchises the Calgary Flames and Buffalo Sabres have extended and enhanced sponsorship deals with Cortex and KeyBank, respectively.
Having previously served as a supplier to the Flames, e-invoicing solutions provider Cortex has upgraded to become an official sponsor for the 2017-18 season.
The sponsorship agreement gives Cortex the exclusive rights to have its logo on all Calgary Flames transactions, on both the Flames website and social media feeds, throughout the campaign. Types of transactions that will have the ‘Powered by Cortex’ logo affixed to the announcement are player signings, player call ups from, or returns to the minors, and management signings.
In addition to the co-branding of digital assets, Cortex’s sponsorship agreement gives the firm further brand exposure opportunities via in-rink and television broadcast initiatives. Throughout the season, Cortex’s brand will be prominently displayed on the Flames’ state-of-the-art LED ring and scoreboard above centre ice, and is to be featured during games being broadcast throughout western Canada.
Andrew Stewart, director of marketing and investor relations for Cortex Business Solutions, said: “Since joining the Cortex Network over two years ago, the Flames have proven time and time again that they are an incredible partner who truly supports Calgary businesses. By taking this monumental step of becoming a sponsor, we have the opportunity to strengthen our partnership, while continuing to grow awareness for Cortex by putting our brand in front of hundreds of thousands of potential customers.”
Meanwhile, financial services group Key Private Bank has become the new official wealth management partner of the Buffalo Sabres. The multi-year agreement is in addition to one in place that makes KeyBank the official bank of the Sabres and naming rights holder to the team’s home, KeyBank Center.
The deal includes branding opportunities in KeyBank Center as well as numerous one-of-a-kind experiences that clients and prospective clients can participate in with the team.
