Czech car manufacturer Skoda has signed a two-year deal to become an official sponsor of European club ice hockey competition the Champions Hockey League.
Skoda will become a second-tier partner of the CHL, receiving branding on perimeter boards across all 161 games of the competition in television camera view and full integration across all communication and promotional materials – including the website and streaming platform ChampionsHockeyLeague.net.
From the start of the playoffs, the logo will be visible as a result of under-ice advertising, whilst at the semi-finals and final promotional car displays will also feature next to the ice rink.
With its involvement in the CHL, Skoda is enhancing over two decades of commitment to international ice hockey. Since 1992, the company has stayed committed to the International Ice Hockey Federation’s IIHF World Championship – the longest main sponsorship of any world championship.
Skoda’s agreement with the CHL has been brokered by the Infront Sports & Media agency, the exclusive marketing partner of the new competition.
The group stage of the CHL’s inaugural season runs from August to October, with the playoffs taking place from November to February.
