RST motors to Isle of Man TT deal

Motorcycle clothing company RST has agreed a two-year deal to sponsor the Isle of Man TT Races annual motorcycling event.

The deal will run from 2015 to 2016 and has been struck with the Isle of Man Government Department of Economic Development, which is the rights holder for the two-week event.

As well as title sponsorship of the Superbike Race, which becomes the RST Superbike Race, the deal means RST receives a series of start-line, podium and track-side branding opportunities as the official safety partner.

The company – which was the official safety partner of the Isle of Man Classic TT Races in 2013 and 2014 – will also receive programme, race guide and official iomtt.com advertising as part of its inventory of benefits.

Jonny Towers, RST sales and marketing director, said: “This is an important milestone for RST and we are extremely proud to be associated with such a prestigious and historic event. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with the TT.”

RST will be producing a bespoke TT flash motorcycle clothing collection, which will only be available in the on-site TT RST concept store. The event’s marshals will also wear RST kit.

David Cretney, political member of Isle of Man tourism and motorsport, said: “RST is a premium brand and we are delighted to welcome them into our portfolio of commercial partners. Their support will enable us to grow and develop the TT Races worldwide and is a reflection of the continuing growth and interest in the TT Races.”
