Automotive company Tata Motors has announced its Tata Bolt hatchback model as the principal sponsor of Royal Challengers Bangalore for the 2015 edition of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket tournament.
The agreement renews Tata’s association with Royal Challengers Bangalore from last season’s IPL. The eighth running of the competition gets under way today (Wednesday).
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Tata Motors will collaborate on a range of joint initiatives to be rolled out across India and in-stadium during games, while a fleet of Bolt cars will be supplied to the franchise. The Tata Bolt brand will also occupy the leading arm position on RCB’s playing jersey.
Last month, Tata Motors Prima – the company’s heavy duty truck division – unveiled a sponsorship deal with rival IPL side Kings XI Punjab.
Royal Challengers Bangalore begins its 2015 IPL campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 11, with the team set to be captained by India batsman Virat Kohli (pictured).
