PGA Tour signs first deal outside the US

THE PGA TOUR has agreed a three-year deal with audio experts Bose for category rights in China.

The deal marks the first time the Tour has agreed a sponsorship deal with rights outside the United States.

Bose’s Shanghai-headquartered subsidiary has been named Official Home Theater Systems, Home Audio Systems and Headphones of the PGA Tour and Champions Tour in China.

“The PGA Tour is a very well-respected brand in Greater China,” said Joel Tzo, general manager of Bose Greater China. “Our focus is always on innovation, and this initiative is a new and exciting way to reach more people with the benefits of our products.”

As an Official Sponsor, Bose can use the logos of the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour in China to promote its products in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.

The PGA Tour is the organiser of the main men’s professional golf tours in North America, co-sanctioning more than 100 tournaments.
