Online automotive spare parts retailer Oscaro.com has been unveiled as a partner of the International Motorsport Federation’s (FIA) World Touring Car Championship.
Oscaro.com will become the presenting partner of the series’ Race of Portugal from July 10-12 and will also brand the new Repair Time information displays at all remaining rounds of the 2015 season. Repair Time is the 15-minute period between the two WTCC races that teams have available to work on their cars in the pit lane.
Removable plates featuring various mechanical symbols, such as brake pads, discs and suspension will give a clear picture of the parts replaced on selected cars starting from the Race of France from June 26-28.
“The new Repair Time display boards are the perfect fit for Oscaro.com because road-equivalent versions of most of the key components changed on cars between races are available to purchase online from Oscaro.com,” the championship’s general manager, François Ribeiro, said. “Furthermore, with Oscaro.com now breaking into the Portuguese market, we are very pleased that the company is using the event presenting partner opportunity as a platform for promotion and further growth.”
The deal was brokered by Eurosport Events, the championship’s official promoter.
