Omani telecommunications company Omantel has renewed its partnership with the Oman Football Association (OFA), through which it will continue to title sponsor the country’s top-tier Professional League.
Under the new three-year agreement, the competition will continue to be officially known as the Omantel League until the end of the 2021-22 season.
Omantel has been the title sponsor of the 14-team league since 2008. Financial terms of the new agreement, which was signed at Omantel’s headquarters, were not disclosed.
Omantel’s previous deal expired at the end of the 2018-19 season. The new campaign gets underway with the Super Cup match between league champions Dhofar and cup winners Sur on September 13.
