NFL’s 49ers put Intel inside Levi’s Stadium

US computing giant Intel has reached an agreement with NFL American football team San Francisco 49ers to become a founding partner and preferred technology provider at its new Levi’s Stadium.

The Santa Clara venue will be the 49ers home from the 2014 NFL season and, under the agreement, Intel solutions and products for client, server, embedded and security technologies will be integrated at the facility.

Intel will have exclusive branding and naming rights to the Levi’s Stadium’s northwest Plaza, a heavily used pedestrian area to be renamed as the Intel Plaza. The area will feature an interactive fans’ zone where the company’s technologies will be showcased.

Additionally, Intel is set to benefit from an integrated media package that includes radio and television advertising, various hospitality assets and the opportunity to host events at Levi’s Stadium with customers and strategic partners.

Intel joins Silicon Valley counterparts Yahoo, Violin Memory and Brocade as the 49ers seek to sign up 10 founding partners for their new home.
