PepsiCo signs up for 49ers stadium move

NFL American football team the San Francisco 49ers has announced a multi-year partnership with multi-national food and beverage company PepsiCo.

The agreement makes PepsiCo the official and exclusive non-alcoholic beverage and snack provider for the 49ers and the Levi's Stadium when the team moves to its new home for the 2014 NFL season. PepsiCo will also gain branding rights to the end zone spanning the north fan deck at the ground.

PepsiCo becomes one of the stadium’s 10 founding partners, joining the likes of Silicon Valley companies Yahoo, Violin Memory and Brocade. The agreement builds on the 49ers existing agreements with the Frito-Lay and Gatorade brands.

Beginning with the 2013 season – the 49ers farewell campaign at Candlestick Park – PepsiCo's full line-up of food and beverage brands will enjoy exclusive marketing rights for the team, including mobile, television and digital assets, and local media and retail promotional opportunities.
