Nascar opens new category with Allegiant Air deal

US low-cost airline Allegiant Air has entered into a multi-year partnership with North American stock-car racing series Nascar.

The agreement names Allegiant Air the first-ever official passenger airline partner of the series. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Under the agreement, the airline will become the presenting sponsor of the Nascar Goes West online campaign, which has been launched to coincide with the start of Nascar’s annual series of events on the west coast of the US.

Nascar fans will also be able to use Allegiant Air’s service to travel to and from races in more than 20 markets the series stages races in.

In addition, the airline will join the Nascar Fuel for Business council, which comprises almost 60 official Nascar partners. The council meets four times a year to buy and sell services and products from one another.
