The International Motorsport Federation (FIA) World Endurance Championship has signed up motor lubricant company Motul as an official partner.
Motul agreed the deal with the championship’s promoter, the Automobile Club de l'Ouest.
The length of the multi-year deal, which covers the famous annual 24 Hours of Le Mans race as well as several other annual events, was not disclosed.
At each of the championship’s eight separate six-hour races, there will be a Motul corner featuring trackside signage, while the podium girls will be in Motul’s colours.
In recent months, Motul has made a series of significant investments in sports properties. The French company acquired commercial rights in relation to several events in the motorcycle-racing MotoGP and Superbike World Championships, and in January Motul was unveiled as an official partner of the Endurance World Championship motorcycling series.
